Downtown Blue Ridge Beautification

In partnership with the City of Blue Ridge the BRBA, local businesses, organizations and individuals we are on a mission to bring more flowers downtown.

This Beautification Program is similar to the Adopt-A-Mile trash pick-up program where any of us can adopt a public area downtown to plant flowers. There are about a dozen areas up for adoption.

Adopting an area would include, providing a pot/vessel or developing a small area of land (like a parking lot island) to create a garden. Adopters would provide and install the plants and materials each season keeping the area clean and neat year-round. The city would water the areas as needed.

Sponsors would receive recognition that includes a small sign including your name and business logo to be placed in the area/pot as well as recognition in the BRBA newsletter and website.

If you would like to participate but do not have the ability to install and maintain, we will accept monetary donations for the program to help buy plants and will find volunteers to install and maintain. Please contact Leigh Maloney for further information.
