Children's Safety Comes First

- Time: Candy distribution starts at 5 pm
- Costume Contest begins at 5:30 pm
Where: East Main between Church St. and Mountain St. and E. Main will be closed to traffic for the safety of our children.
Costume Contest Categories
- Infant to 2 years
- 3 to 4 year olds
- 5 to 6 year olds
- 7 to 8 year olds
- 9 to 10 year olds
- 11 to 14 year olds
- 15 to 17 year olds
- 18 & up
- Groups of any size
- Pet category is for dogs and cats only. No large animals

Peak-a-Boo Pumpkin
Get ready for the pumpkins! Blue Ridge Business Association will be sponsoring the first Peak-a-BOO Pumpkin exhibit October 19 – November 1. Every pre-kindergarten and kindergarten class in Fannin schools and in Headstart have been asked to decorate a pumpkin. We would like to place their one pumpkin in a store window downtown. All you have to say is yes! The decorated pumpkins will be brought to you ready to go the week of October19. We wanted to include our students and their families a little more in Safe Zone this year. The classes will be told which business has their pumpkin and will be encouraged to go visit them with their families. We only have 12 to give out so let us know if you want one!
